Served in the Civil War with the 26th Pennsylvania Infantry, Company "J", going in as a Private and mustered out as a 4th corporal.He was in business with his father and brother,P. F. Winebrenner, until 1867 when his brother retired and then continued with his father until 1884. in 1874 he began packing fruit and vegetables in partnership with his younger brother,H.C.Winebrenner,the firm being called Winebrenner Bros., which cont. until 1882 after which he worked alone.
