He had been associated with the Anthony Hotel; he also supervised the building of the Keenan Hotel, Ft. Wayne, Indiana. They moved to the farm in the 1920's, Rt. #4, Columbia City, Indiana. When Edna became ill, they sold their farm, had a public sale and moved to an apartment at 108 W. Jefferson St. in Columbia City.
