From the Biographical Sketches of Hardin County, Ohio.It states that Mr. Winebrenner came to America in 1849, with his wife and one child, to Port Jervis, New York. He moved to Hardin County in 1851. He purchased 40 Acres of Woodland in Pleasent Twp, Which he cleared and subsequently sold, buying 80 acres of woodland in Section 1 of Pleasent Twp.and afterward 234acres across the road in Goshen Twp.He died in the home, where his widow now lives, at the age of 53. He commenced life in this country without capital and among total strangers, and accumulated his home and lands after a life of hardship and toil, practicing the greatest economy.
