Henry Tavernier

Record: certificate of death recorded page 258, #499, Mishiwaka, St. Joseph County, Indiana. Henry was married at least three times. Nothing to tie him as father of George William Tavernier except mom's belief and dates that seem to correspond. Obituary in South Bend Tribune dated 3 Aug 1921. Henry Tavernier, 79 years old. 810 N. Francis St. died this afternoon at 12:45 following an illness of one year. He was born in Bavaria, Germany on 12 Oct 1841, and came to this country when he was 17 years old. He had lived in this city 14 years, coming here from his farm, five miles northeast of South Bend. He was a member of post 8 g.a.r. and of the Zion Evangelical Church.
